The VeteranShield Projectsm

...It's not about glory; it's about Their Story.

Our Core Beliefs

The VeteranShield Mission of Public Remembrance  is grounded in the following core beliefs:

  • All currently deployed Military and POWs (and their families) deserve to be publicly honored, 24 hours a day, within their own neighborhoods and communities, for the entire time those Veterans are away from their homes serving our country.
  • All honorable prior-service Veterans (and their families) deserve to be publicly recognized and honored in their communities each Veterans Day.
  • All KIA, DOW, and MIA Veterans (and their families) deserve to be publicly recognized and honored in their communities each Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
  • All close family members, hometown friends, comrades-in-arms, and descendents of our nation's Veterans  deserve the opportunity and means to work together to create a permanent and personal tribute to perpetually honor the service and celebrate the life of a known Veteran, and to proudly share their personal memories, gratitude and love, by displaying their Veteranshield each year during the appropriate Veteran's holidays.
  • The personal images, documents, and recorded stories of our honored military Veterans are priceless.  Those fragile and fading materials deserve to be permanently saved, shielded, and illuminated, so as to allow our inspiring VeteranShield tributes to be perpetually shared, publicly honored and annually celebrated throughout our communities on national holidays, and  via a searchable database on the internet  available for instant viewing throughout the world.
  • The Public Memorials and Personal Outdoor Displays that stand in remembrance of our Veterans must be held inviolate.  Our Veterans' memories deserve to be permanently protected from criminal theft, wanton destruction, or malicious defacing.  The loyal Guardians of the VeteranShield Project, who display and defend their VeteranShields annually within their local communities, stand in resolute defiance of those cowardly vandals and unscrupulous thieves who would deny our Veterans their due honor.

The VeteranShield Project is currently in the final development and testing phase; the first production model is expected in early 2016.   For information on how you can reserve a VeteranShield now for only $100, please click here.

 The Virtual Volunteer Program

To support the introduction of the VeteranShield Project, we are currently looking for a number of part-time Virtual Volunteers willing to help us out by designing individual VeteranShield collages, while working remotely from their home studio or office.  If you're a dedicated digital scrapper, amateur digital collage artist, or digital designer who is also willing to make a serious committment* to supporting our nonprofit mission, we'd love to hear from you, no matter where you live in the U.S.  All volunteers will receive full recognition and standard compensation** for expenses.  This volunteer project is ideal for any designers or digital collage artists who desire to work from their home studio, or to assist others within their communities, and also receive recognition for their efforts at local VeteranShield meetups, designer and artist parties, events and National Conventions.  Please contact us at info@veteranshield.org for further information.

*NOTE: "serious committment" to us means that, at a minimum, a volunteer is willing to first commit to becoming a full supporting member of the VeteranShield Project, by: A) funding and creating a VeteranShield to honor a Veteran in your family or community, to serve as an example of your personal values and design skills, and B) agreeing to annually display that Veteranshield in your hometown over the Memorial Day and Veterans Day holidays.

**NOTE: "standard compensation" rate for volunteer expenses is a minimum of $25.00 per completed collage, unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.
